Information For New Visitors

Hello!

Welcome!

We're delighted you're thinking of coming along to our Bee.

We're really friendly, but it's always a bit daunting coming along to a group if you don't know anyone.

We think sewing should be all fun and no stress, so this is our guide to visiting us for the first time!

First things first, feel free to drop us an e mail ahead of the Bee to say you're coming and Debs or Claire or Helen will save you a seat, look out for you when you arrive, and introduce you to everyone. (deb@plainstitch.co.uk)

We hold the Bee during the day at St Anne's Hall on Aylesbury Road in Wendover. This is the Hall at the back of the car park where the Catholic Church is at the front, it's sort of opposite-ish to the Health Centre and/or the road that leads to the schools, near the mini roundabout.

If you are coming to the Bee at St Anne's Hall, there is parking in the St Anne's Hall car park. On sunny days it can get busy as the Ramblers also use it to park before their walk. If there's no room you can usually park in Wharf Road opposite. If you've got a big bag, drive up to the hall doorway and we'll unload you first!

You need bring only yourself, your project and supplies. We provide tea and coffee and biscuits on a help yourself basis! If you want to bring your sewing machine you will usually also need an extension lead. We call ourselves a Sewing Bee, but that doesn't mean you can't bring your knitting!! We have all sorts of different crafts going on so bring whatever you are working on.

We use a pre-paid card system, which means you buy a card costing £20 and can visit 5 times. This is just a way to avoid having to have lots of spare change! On your first visit, you can just pay £4 in cash to 'try it out' and if you think you'd like to come again ( we hope so!) you can buy a card the next time you visit. When you've filled your card with stamps you can redeem it at PlainStitch for a free Fat Quarter.

We hope we've answered all of your questions, drop us an email at deb(at)plainstitch(dot)co(dot)uk or helen(at)plainstitch(dot)co(dot)uk , looking forward to meeting you soon

Debs & Claire & Helen
